Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in sales, marketing, guest services, front desk, or similar professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required
  • Ability to work full time
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in managing sales and administrative processes
  • Ability to understand budgets and financial statements
  • Commitment to uphold company standards and procedures
  • Capacity to handle customer service challenges effectively

Job Duties

  • Coordinate sale and service of audio-visual presentations to convention groups, affiliates and exhibitors
  • Collaborate with Sales, Convention Managers, and Event Managers to develop and coordinate convention events
  • Execute activities based on Standard Operating Procedures to ensure high service levels
  • Participate in annual event technology operational reviews and suggest improvements
  • Generate proposals, write contracts, and maintain customer correspondence
  • Manage administrative processes related to event technology sales
  • Ensure accurate billing for event technology products and services
  • Comprehend and assist with budgets, operating statements and payroll reports
  • Participate in department budget development and profit and loss management
  • Maximize revenue by soliciting event technology sales
  • Strive to improve service performance and ensure customer satisfaction before, during, and after events
  • Set positive examples for guest relations and communicate service commitments to property staff
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and focus on continuous improvement
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Respond to and handle guest complaints
  • Participate in development and implementation of corrective actions based on survey results
  • Execute and support company Customer Service Standards and brand standards
  • Serve customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate services
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, clients, suppliers, staging companies, and AV consulting companies
  • Act as liaison between Event Technology and other property departments
