We are currently seeking a Color Tech to join our team on the 2nd shift, which runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with the potential for overtime. This position offers a starting wage of $20 per hour with the possibility of increasing to $22 per hour after a 90-day evaluation. Additionally, this role includes a $1 per hour shift differential, making it a financially attractive opportunity for qualified candidates. The Color Tech plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring precise color matching and pre-matching to company standards to achieve the best possible color quality and repeatability. Candidates must be able to read and interpret production schedules to determine ink usage and types and have an excellent eye for color to adjust pigments accurately and promptly. Additional responsibilities include managing inks post-production by segregating them for reuse or disposal following company protocols, utilizing X-rite technology and software to maintain standardized ink recipes for consistency, and adhering strictly to Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) related to machine operation and safety during color matching activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mathematical and computer skills, and the ability to pass a color test with a minimum score of 85%. Physical demands include regularly lifting weights up to 50 pounds, maintaining good coordination and balance, and being able to perform in various temperature conditions throughout the year.
