The school is renowned for offering a broad range of academic and extracurricular programs, ensuring students have multiple opportunities to develop skills both inside and outside the classroom. Through its dynamic learning environment and supportive staff, ETHS emphasizes not only academic rigor but also the importance of student engagement in activities that enrich their high school experience.
The Extracurricular Activities Coordinator position is a vital role within the Student Activities Office at ETHS. The office manages the coordination of over 90 student clubs and organizations, student government, as well as large-scale student events such as homecoming, spirit weeks, performances, and dances. The Student Activities Department serves as a link between students’ academic life and their interests outside the classroom, encouraging widespread participation and involvement. As an Extracurricular Activities Coordinator, the appointed individual will play a key part in supporting the operational and logistical needs of this department, ensuring that student activities run smoothly and effectively.
This role reports directly to the Director of Activities and the Student Success Center, collaborating closely with staff, students, community members, and parents in a fast-paced school environment. The coordinator will be entrusted with responsibilities that include managing the extracurricular academic eligibility processes to verify student participation in clubs and activities, monitoring compliance with school policies, and implementing key programs like the Freshman Study Table, which supports students’ academic success across varied extracurricular domains such as athletics, clubs, and fine arts.
A strong emphasis is placed on building positive relationships with students and activity sponsors, providing excellent customer service, and demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Candidates for this position should possess exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Working in tandem with various stakeholders, the coordinator ensures adherence to academic eligibility standards while supporting student growth through coordinated activities and administrative tasks, including managing budgets, calendars, and event logistics.
This is a 10-month position with a term spanning approximately 215 days, designed for individuals who thrive in collaborative, student-centered environments that value equity, creativity, and accountability.
