The Day Shift Parking and Valet Supervisor plays a vital role within ABM’s parking and valet service operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all company standards are consistently met while effectively managing parking and valet operations to comply with contractual obligations. The supervisor must operate within specified labor and expense budgets, maintaining not only operational efficiency but also excellent service quality. This role typically operates on a schedule from Friday through Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an hourly pay rate of $25.00. The offer may vary based on factors such as the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, location, and alignment with market data.
In this supervisory position, the individual will lead and oversee a team of parking and valet attendants, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and service standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, answering customer calls, providing customer service assistance, replenishing parking tickets, maintaining contract specifications, and performing safety audits. Daily quality control inspections and reporting completion of tasks are critical components of maintaining service excellence. Additionally, the supervisor is tasked with training new employees and providing ongoing training for existing staff on proper procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
The role demands a thorough understanding of personnel management principles, including resolving team issues with effective communication and leadership. Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company guidelines is essential to upholding ABM’s commitment to quality service and legal requirements. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the smooth operation of parking and valet services.
Furthermore, candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Word to complete necessary administrative tasks. Experience in leading a team and prior work in parking or valet operations is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are fundamental, alongside meeting all requirements for obtaining airport SIDA badges and Customs Seals when applicable.
ABM values diversity and inclusion, proudly being an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities. The company also participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program, ensuring employment eligibility compliance. Military veterans are welcomed, with access to world-class training programs that help transition military skills into rewarding civilian careers within ABM.
