The company operates an extensive manufacturing and distribution network comprising a family of well-respected brands including Oatey, Cherne, Keeney, Quick Drain, Hercules, Dearborn, Oatey Canada, William H. As a company, Oatey is constantly evolving, offering employees the chance to grow professionally while contributing to meaningful work in the industry.
This particular role at Oatey is centered on the molding and curing processes within their manufacturing operations. The position involves working with test balls, muni balls, pipeline cleaning balls, and other related raw products, where the successful candidate will be responsible for operating oven and press frame equipment to mold and cure these products to strict quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality specifications, and the ability to follow detailed work schedules, both oral and written. The position requires hands-on management of molds, including loading, pressing, baking, and inspection of the product to ensure compliance with strict appearance and quality criteria.
Candidates will engage with various manufacturing equipment and must possess skills in operating machinery, reading digital and needlepoint gauges, and applying basic math, reading, and writing competencies to accurately perform their duties. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are also essential for success in this role.
The company offers competitive compensation ranging from $16.95 to $27.12 per hour, commensurate with experience and internal talent assessment. Employees at Oatey benefit from a comprehensive total rewards program including paid time off, holidays, profit sharing, 401(k) plans with company matching, market-leading health insurance options, disability coverage, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and robust resources for well-being support.
