The establishment is dedicated to maintaining a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment for both its guests and employees, with a strong emphasis on compliance and community values. As a significant employer in the region, the Kalispel Tribe is committed to supporting its workforce by fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and growth opportunities.
The role being offered is for a Guest Service Associate (GSA) within the food and beverage operations at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. This position is a frontline representative role that requires exceptional customer service skills and a strong knowledge of daily and seasonal menu offerings, as well as the visual presentation of dishes. The Guest Service Associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring the satisfaction of guests by timely seating guests using the server rotation system, providing attentive and friendly service, and effectively communicating with other team members. They are also responsible for handling guest inquiries and complaints calmly and efficiently, with the ability to escalate issues to supervisory staff when necessary.
The GSA will be involved in various operational duties such as assisting with food running to deliver timely food service, resetting and detailing tables and dining areas, and completing all side work to maintain a clean and well-stocked work environment. The role emphasizes flexibility, as employees must be prepared to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing business levels. Physical demands require the ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds, frequent walking and standing, as well as fine motor skills for precise tasks. The employer places importance on maintaining a good attendance record and being an active participant in training and team meetings.
This employment opportunity suits individuals who thrive in fast-paced hospitality settings and enjoy engaging with people to create memorable dining experiences. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED and have some experience or familiarity with sit-down restaurant operations. Required qualifications also include a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Certification and a valid health card, reflecting the employer's commitment to high food safety and service standards.
