Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age
- must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and stock products up to 50 pounds
- good interpersonal skills
- must be legally authorized to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- experience working in a retail or customer service environment
- knowledge of wines, beer, and liquors
- leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to engage positively with customers
- basic math skills for pricing and inventory
- ability to plan and host events
Job Duties
- maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members
- engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling when appropriate, and always giving a genuine thank you
- planning and hosting tastings and special functions
- providing customers with great information and suggestions concerning their purchase of wine cellar product offerings
- monitoring and using correct product pricing, shelf tags and signage
- keeping clean, attractive and beautifully stocked wine cellars
- ordering, pricing and stocking all products in the wine cellar including wine, beer, liquor and cigars
- ensuring compliance with all state liquor laws, and health department and weights and measures guidelines
- all other related duties as assigned
