Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
  • Ability to safely lift and stock products up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for wines, beer, and liquors
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of state liquor laws and health department regulations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members
  • Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling when appropriate, and always giving a genuine thank you
  • Planning and hosting tastings and special functions
  • Providing customers with great information and suggestions concerning their purchase of wine cellar product offerings
  • Monitoring and using correct product pricing, shelf tags and signage
  • Keeping clean, attractive and beautifully stocked wine cellars
  • Ordering, pricing and stocking all products in the wine cellar including wine, beer, liquor and cigars
  • Ensuring compliance with all state liquor laws, and health department and weights and measures guidelines
  • Performing all other related duties as assigned
