Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol
- Ability to safely stand, sit, lift up to 50 lbs, push, bend, walk, use keyboard and telephone for extended periods
- Prior retail or wine cellar experience preferred
- Must have availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Must provide reliable transportation if needed
- For internal transfer, current leader endorsement required
- Rehire approval by HRBP required
Job Qualifications
- Passion for wines, beer, and liquors
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in retail or hospitality
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to plan and execute tastings and special events
- Knowledge of inventory management and product pricing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comply with state liquor laws and retail regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members
- Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling (when appropriate) and always giving a genuine thank you
- Planning and hosting tastings and special functions
- Providing customers with great information and suggestions concerning their purchase of wine cellar product offerings
- Monitoring and using correct product pricing, shelf tags and signage
- Keeping clean, attractive and beautifully stocked wine cellars
- Ordering, pricing and stocking all products in the wine cellar including wine, beer, liquor and cigars
- Ensuring compliance with all state liquor laws, and health department and weights and measures guidelines
- Performing all other related duties as assigned
