As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for meticulously icing and decorating sheet cakes according to customer specifications or creative discretion, using tools such as spatulas, icing bags, and icing tips. Beyond decorating, the position involves a variety of tasks including baking bread, decorating cookies, and creating fresh bakery offerings daily. A Cake Decorator in this role must have a keen eye for detail and food safety, ensuring all products are visually appealing, delicious, and safe for consumption. Your daily duties will also include production, merchandising, quality control, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of the department.

In addition to your technical skills, you will provide memorable customer service by sharing your knowledge about bakery products and helping customers find the perfect cake or bakery item for their needs. The role requires physical stamina as it involves standing for extended periods, lifting and stocking heavy items up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, and other physical tasks. Job Duties

  • Icing sheet cakes and decorating with spatulas, icing bags and icing tips per customer order or at decorators' discretion
  • Providing memorable customer service during daily customer interactions
  • Preparation of food, including baking bread, decorating cookies, creating fresh offerings
  • Sharing food knowledge with customers
  • Cleaning, food safety, safety, and sanitation
  • Day to day production, merchandising, and quality control of all department offerings
  • Stocking, rotating, and merchandising department products
  • All other related duties as assigned
