The Food Safety Sanitor is responsible for executing thorough sanitation procedures following the eight steps of sanitation while strictly adhering to all food safety guidelines and company policies. This position plays an essential role in preventing contamination and ensuring compliance with legal and company safety standards. Ideal candidates for this role are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in varying temperature conditions prevalent in food processing environments. The role involves physical labor, including lifting equipment, handling chemicals with proper personal protective equipment, and standing or crouching for extended periods. Teamwork and communication with leads and management are paramount to ensure all sanitation procedures are correctly followed and safety protocols are upheld. The Food Safety Sanitor also uses lock-out tag-out procedures to maintain safe operations and may be assigned additional duties as necessary.
