The Lead Person role is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing sanitation processes within designated areas of the plant to ensure a spotless and safe working environment. This position requires an experienced and proactive individual who can provide clear direction to the sanitation crew, train team members across multiple job functions, and support supervisors in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness according to QA and USDA requirements. The Lead Person will liaise closely with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to guarantee compliance with sanitation procedures and address any operational concerns such as equipment maintenance or missing parts. Attention to detail and safety awareness are paramount in this role, as the Lead Person ensures proper handling of chemicals and personal protective equipment, monitors job performance, and performs thorough inspections prior to plant operations. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties
- Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed
- Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant
- Meet with the supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant
- Ensure team members in the assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards
- Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections
- Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits
- Monitor and provide personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
