Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • leadership and decision-making skills are required
  • 6 or more months of experience in the sanitation and/or food processing industry
  • ability to take direction and instruction from a manager and be accountable for one's own actions
  • safety awareness and attention to detail
  • ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations

Job Duties

  • Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed
  • Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant
  • Meet with the supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant
  • Ensure team members in the assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA standards
  • Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections
  • Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits
  • Monitor and provide personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
