As a global leader in logistics and transportation, FedEx Freight is renowned for its reliable, efficient freight delivery solutions tailored to meet the needs of businesses large and small. The company operates a vast network of service centers, hubs, and terminals that support the movement of freight with speed and precision. Focused on innovation, safety, and customer satisfaction, FedEx Freight commits to maintaining the highest standards of operation, ensuring timely deliveries and superior service quality.

This role is a key customer service and administrative position at one of FedEx Freight's service centers. The starting pay rate for this role is $20.20 per hour, with a maximum potential of $23.63 per hour, reflecting experience and performance. The role is hourly paid and emphasizes a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.

The primary responsibilities include administrative and clerical duties such as maintaining files, answering phones, data entry, mail and package distribution, and verifying shipping documentation. The role demands excellent communication skills as employees assist customers by providing accurate information, resolving shipment issues, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries, and supporting sales efforts by identifying upsell opportunities. Additional duties include handling freight shipment information in various computer systems, processing cash and check transactions, reconciling deposits, and coordinating with other departments and service centers to ensure seamless customer service.

This position requires a good understanding of the FedEx Freight service products and the ability to handle confidential information sensitively. Applicants must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively within a team or independently. Experience in transportation, customer service, and general office administration are all valuable for success in this position. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with competencies in typing, data entry, and using office equipment like computers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners. Candidates with previous transportation or freight experience are preferred.

FedEx Freight offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid personal and sick time, a 401(k) retirement plan, bonus potential, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, bereavement leave, paid vacation and holidays for full-time employees.
