Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and highly skilled Front Office Supervisor to join our award-winning team. This role is critical in managing and supervising the front office and guest services team members to ensure that the high standards of Valencia Hotel Group are consistently upheld. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering the best guest experience by maintaining excellent guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position requires a leader who can inspire, train, and motivate a diverse team in a dynamic hotel environment.

The Front Office Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring smooth communication within the department as well as with other hotel departments. This position demands excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to remain composed under pressure, and a friendly, professional demeanor at all times. The role includes supervisory responsibilities such as contributing positively to the team, preparing for guest requests, motivating staff, and conveying information effectively.

Physical demands in this role are significant, including standing, walking, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying various weights up to 50 lbs, often throughout the hotel premises. The working environment involves both interior and exterior areas of the hotel, with exposure to weather conditions. This combination of physical activity and customer service duties makes this a dynamic and engaging role.

Responsibilities also include training front office agents, assisting with daily operations, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, maintaining accurate financial and operational records, and acting as Manager on Duty when necessary. The candidate will also ensure compliance with Valencia Hotel Group’s safety standards and operational procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient hotel environment.

Candidates need to have open availability for morning or evening shifts on weekdays and weekends, which reflects the needs of the hospitality industry. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel operations or customer service preferred
  • Availability for morning or evening shifts on weekdays and weekends
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching, handling tasks frequently
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
  • Valid drivers license
