This position is for a Custodian role based at FedEx Freight, offering a starting rate of $18.19 per hour. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the physical structures, yard, dock areas, and office spaces within the facility. This role is vital in providing an attractive and clean work environment that supports the overall safety and efficiency of the FedEx Freight operations. Custodians play an essential role in ensuring that all areas are free from hazards and maintain the standards expected in a world-class logistics facility.
The Custodian’s duties cover a broad range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting office areas; emptying trash; cleaning restrooms; performing general yard work like mowing grass, maintaining gardens, and keeping parking lots free of trash; and cleaning docks. They also perform minor building repairs, such as painting and changing light bulbs and air conditioner filters. The position requires compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures. Custodians must demonstrate good chemical awareness, physical ability to bend, twist, squat, and push or pull custodial equipment throughout the shift. The working conditions include standing or walking for eight hours, light lifting, and exposure to varying weather conditions and cleaning chemicals. The role requires both independent work capability and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.

Job Duties
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust entire office area
- empty trash
- clean restrooms
- perform general yard work including cleaning, picking up trash, cutting grass, and maintaining gardens
- maintain parking areas to keep free of trash
- clean dock and dock apron
- perform minor building repair and paint as needed
- change light bulbs in office area and on dock
- change air conditioner filters
- comply with all applicable laws, regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- perform other duties as required
