The Barista role at Bashas' is pivotal in delivering the Starbucks Experience to customers by ensuring prompt service, quality beverages, and a welcoming store environment. Baristas are responsible for consistently preparing Starbucks coffee drinks and food items by strictly adhering to recipe and presentation standards. They operate in a fast-paced setting, requiring both efficiency and friendly customer interaction. The barista will manage cash registers, process transactions accurately, and assist customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store is also an essential part of this role. This position demands physical stamina, including extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, and other physical tasks. Job Duties
- Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and the mission of both Bashas' and Starbucks
- Operating a register and accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change
- Assisting all customers by providing information and resolving any complaints
- Assisting with stocking shelves, facing, cleaning and dusting as needed
- Maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout the store
- Performing all other related duties as assigned
