Job Description
The Grounds and Maintenance Team Member position is offered by a resort known for its commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience through well-maintained facilities and outstanding hospitality. This resort operates in a dynamic, outdoor-focused environment where both the appearance and functionality of the property are essential to guest satisfaction. The company places strong emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and proactive maintenance to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors throughout their stay.
As a Grounds and Maintenance Team Member, your role is critical to ensuring that the resort environment remains clean, safe, and inviting. You will be responsible for a broad array of tasks that involve both physical upkeep and interaction with guests. This includes regular maintenance of outdoor areas such as trash removal, pool cleaning and chemical testing, garden care, snow removal, and basic repairs. Beyond the maintenance duties, you will act as a frontline hospitality ambassador, providing assistance and information to guests, answering inquiries, and guiding guests around the resort while fostering a friendly and helpful atmosphere. The position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting that values initiative, cooperation, and dedication to quality.
The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager, ensuring alignment with operational goals and policies. Reliability and flexibility are important, as the job requires working a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and being available on call. The team member is also entrusted with monitoring safety and security standards, enforcing resort regulations, and facilitating smooth coordination among different departments related to vehicle parking and guest services.
This full-time employment opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, thrive in a service-oriented environment, and possess strong problem-solving skills and physical endurance. It provides a chance to be part of a close-knit team dedicated to maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, attentive to detail, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism and care. While prior experience in groundskeeping or maintenance is valuable, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. Overall, this role combines technical maintenance tasks with a strong element of guest service, making it a unique and rewarding position within the hospitality industry.
