The successful candidate will engage in market analysis to effectively promote approved beauty products, launch new concepts, and provide both in-store and virtual product education. The Color & Curl Concierge is entrusted with offering expert color and curl/texture consulting services to a diverse clientele, including professional beauty salons, barbershops, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists. This role demands commitment to continuous learning through extensive online guided training and certification, ensuring the incumbent remains at the forefront of emerging industry trends and innovations.
On a daily basis, the Concierge will assess customer color and care needs, providing tailored recommendations to help clients meet the demands of their own customers. Collaboration with colleagues, vendors, and management is critical to ensuring seamless communication regarding sales progress, customer follow-up, and any required support. Maintaining high merchandising standards aligned with brand guidelines ensures the store environment is inviting and visually appealing, thus enhancing the customer experience.
Adaptability and responsiveness to market changes are essential qualities, along with a professional demeanor and adherence to CosmoProf/BSG culture values and company ethics. Occasional responsibilities may include store opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and bank deposits, underscoring the need for reliability and trustworthiness.

Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation to service designated store and market
- Ability to travel to shows or sales meetings at least three times a year
- Commitment to scheduled and flexible work hours
- Ability to work in other stores and field as needed
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire
- Must comply with safety precautions and work environment requirements
Job Qualifications
- One year retail or sales-focused experience
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
- Strong business acumen with ability to read and act on sales reporting
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control and visual merchandising preferred
- Proficient in POS applications and social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with public
Job Duties
- Determine customer color and care related needs and offer professional advice and recommendations
- Communicate upward and cross functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, status of sales progress, follow-up plans and assistance needed
- Resolve customer concerns and questions in a timely, appropriate and effective manner
- Maintain high standards of color and curl merchandising, placement, store signage and proper display techniques
- Stay informed on emerging trends and adapt sales techniques to market changes
- Perform all store opening and closing procedures including occasional bank deposits and cash handling
- Demonstrate CosmoProf/BSG Culture Values and adhere to company code of ethics and behavior
