The Food Safety Sanitor role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within food production processes. This position performs sanitation labor by following the eight steps of sanitation while strictly adhering to all food safety and safety policies and procedures. The Sanitor works closely with leads and management to ensure sanitation procedures are consistently executed, contributing to the overall safety and cleanliness of the workplace. The role requires frequent physical exertion, including lifting hoses, equipment, and chemical containers, and the use of personal protective equipment such as gloves, face shields, eye goggles, aprons, boots, and safety glasses. Exposure to chemicals is a part of daily tasks, and PPE is mandatory for these duties. The job demands standing, lifting, and crouching for extended periods, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, including using Lock-out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in environments with temperature fluctuations that range from hot to cold.
