We are currently hiring a Cake Decorator who will play an integral role in our bakery department. The cake decorator will be responsible for designing, decorating, and selling a wide variety of bakery products, including specialty cakes, cupcakes, snack cakes, and other bakery delicacies. This position involves directly interacting with customers, taking their orders, and ensuring every order is fulfilled to their satisfaction. Exceptional attention to detail and creativity are crucial in this role, as cake decorators must create visually appealing and high-quality products that align with the company’s standards and style guidelines. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to maintaining product freshness and quality, managing inventory rotations by coding products, as well as handling cash register transactions professionally. The ability to remain friendly and approachable while engaging with customers, offering product suggestions, and promoting sampling is highly valued. This position also demands diligent upkeep of the sales and production areas, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to bakery and merchandising guidelines. Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years old
Have a minimum of one-year experience as a cake decorator
Ability to follow standard company decorating styles
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use a scale printer and cash register
Availability to work flexible hours if required
Ability to maintain cleanliness in work and sales areas

Job Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a cake decorator
Ability to follow standard company styles and patterns
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to handle cash register transactions including checks credit and debit cards and refunds
Knowledge of bakery product freshness and shelf-life management
Attention to detail in product presentation and packaging
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Job Duties

Creating all varieties of cakes and cake products by special order using standard company styles and patterns
Answering phones and taking customer orders ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction
Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members
Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings offering product information providing selling suggestions and active sampling and always giving a genuine thank you
Maintaining bakery department’s image for the highest quality and freshness
Controlling freshness by coding all products rotating them and pulling any out-of-code merchandise daily
Wrapping packaging and pricing all products accurately and legibly in accordance with established department procedures and guidelines
