Company History

Founded by Sam SAIIA as Birmingham Excavating Co. in 1946, the company underwent several transformations, including mergers and acquisitions, leading to its current name, SAIIA Construction Co. LLC.

In 2018, Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives, Inc. (IEA) acquired SAIIA, and in 2022, IEA and its affiliated companies were acquired by MasTec, integrating SAIIA into MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure segment.
