The National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, is a dynamic youth organization dedicated to preparing members for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Established in 1928, FFA has evolved to encompass a broad spectrum of agricultural disciplines, including science, business, and technology. This reflects the diverse opportunities within the agriculture industry.
With over 1 million members across 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, FFA is one of the largest student-led organizations in the nation. This extensive network provides students with a platform to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and explore various career pathways in agriculture.
Local Chapters and National Events
At the heart of FFA are its local chapters, which serve as the foundation for member engagement. These chapters operate within state associations, each offering unique programs and competitions tailored to their members' interests. Nationally, FFA hosts a range of events including the National FFA Convention & Expo.
This convention brings together members from across the country to celebrate achievements, participate in competitions, and engage in leadership development activities.
Commitment to Inclusivity
FFA emphasizes inclusivity through strategic initiatives aimed at fostering a welcoming environment for all members. The organization actively promotes diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every individual is respected and valued for their unique identity.
