Connecticut Children's Medical Center (CCMC) is a nationally recognized, 187-bed not-for-profit children's hospital located in Hartford, Connecticut.

As the state’s only freestanding children's hospital, CCMC is dedicated exclusively to the health and well-being of children. It offers comprehensive, world-class healthcare services.

Affiliations and Medical Staff

Serving as the primary pediatric teaching hospital for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, CCMC provides a wide range of pediatric specialties and subspecialties.

The hospital’s medical staff includes nearly 1,100 professionals practicing in over 30 specialties, ensuring high-quality care for children from birth through adolescence.

Specialized Care and Locations

CCMC operates the only ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Connecticut, providing critical care for children suffering traumatic injuries or illnesses.

The hospital also offers neonatal intensive care for premature or critically ill infants.

Besides its main campus in Hartford, CCMC extends services through multiple locations across Connecticut, Eastern New York, and Western Massachusetts.

In 2020, CCMC was named a "Center of Excellence" by the National Society of Pediatric Sedation, one of only ten children’s hospitals nationally to earn this distinction.
