Barcade® is a unique fusion of a bar and arcade, specializing in classic video games and American craft beer. Established on October 1, 2004, in Brooklyn, New York, Barcade has expanded across several cities.

The inaugural Barcade opened in a former metal shop at 388 Union Avenue in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. This innovative concept was created by four longtime friends: brothers Kevin and Scott Beard, Pete Langway, and Paul Kermizian.

They envisioned a space where patrons could enjoy a curated selection of American craft beers while playing classic arcade games and pinball machines. The success of the original location led to rapid expansion.

In 2011, Barcade opened its second venue in Jersey City, New Jersey, followed by a third in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood. The following year, two Manhattan locations were launched: one on West 24th Street in Chelsea and another on St. Mark's Place in the East Village.

Subsequent expansions included venues in New Haven, Connecticut, and Newark, New Jersey. In 2019, Barcade ventured into the West Coast with a location in Los Angeles, California. The Detroit, Michigan, location opened in August 2021.

Each Barcade location offers a nostalgic experience with a selection of 40 to 75 classic arcade games and pinball machines from the 1980s. The beverage menu features 25 to 30 American craft beers on tap, complemented by craft spirits, creative cocktails, and inventive twists on traditional pub food.

Barcade is also committed to ecological sustainability, collaborating with the Green Restaurant Association to promote environmentally friendly practices.
