Position: Wine Steward
About: Giant Eagle is seeking a Wine Steward to enhance the customer shopping experience by offering wine recommendations and showcasing expertise in the wine and beer selections. The role focuses on wine selection, pouring, and selling to make the wine drinking experience delightful for guests. The well-trained Wine Stewards play a key role in positioning Giant Eagle’s stores as premier destinations for wine and beer shopping, creating points of difference from competitors.
Requirements: 1 to 3 years of experience; Strong customer service experience required, wine knowledge and/or wine industry experience, experience in retail food, catering, or restaurant environment; High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate from a sommelier organization, such as The Court of Master Sommeliers preferred; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; At least 21 years of age
