Position: Special Events Manager

About: The Albany Office of New York State Governor Kathy Hochul is looking for a Special Events Manager to support the coordination of 30-50 special events annually hosted by the governor, including heritage receptions, ceremonies, community events like the Easter Egg Roll and Turkey Pardon, large-scale productions such as the State of the State Address, and engagements with constituents and stakeholders throughout the state. Events are primarily held at the Executive Mansion and State Capitol Building, with occasional external venues as needed. The Special Events Manager is a part of the Executive Operations team, reporting to the Social Secretary, and collaborates with various departments to ensure successful event execution and relationship building with stakeholders.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; 2 years of relevant experience
