Position: Senior Food Editor/Recipe Developer
About: Grey Dog Media is seeking a Senior Recipe Developer/Editor to research, develop, write, and edit recipes for various platforms under the direction of the Test Kitchen Director and Project Executive Editor. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of final recipes before publication in print, digital, or video formats.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Food Sciences, Culinary Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience); minimum of 3 years of editorial experience, consumer magazine experience a plus; experience developing, writing, and editing recipes for brands or publications; background in food editing; broad cooking experience helpful; understand how to use Adobe InDesign for entering text within layouts; a solid understanding of grammar and the Chicago style manual; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail in recipe testing, reading, writing, and editing; highly motivated with ability to work in a collaborative manner to meet client deadlines; ability to maintain a positive can-do attitude; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to purchase and carry groceries; physical capability to meet the demands of the position such as walking, standing for long periods, carrying groceries, cleaning kitchen, driving, etc.
