Position: Preschool Chef
About: Cooks at The Learning Experience prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for children. The Learning Experience is dedicated to spreading Happiness throughout the center and ensuring compliance with state and federal nutritional requirements for children. This role requires individuals who are mentally and physically fit to handle the special demands of childcare where children rely on caregivers for their well-being.
Requirements: Must meet state specific guidelines; High School Diploma/ GED required; ECE coursework preferred; Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria or equivalent; Must meet state specific guidelines for the role including immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training; Demonstrates physical resilience to stand/walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds, reach, stretch, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, supervise by sight and sound, and work in varying outdoor temperatures; Ability to perform essential job functions with appropriate mental and physical alertness
