Position: Hyatt Regency Louisville – Director Operations
About: In partnership with the General Manager, the Director of Operations manages the overall operation of the hotel through maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees, and exceeding guest expectations. The majority of time is spent creating financial reports, interpreting and analyzing business records, and assisting the sales force in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies. The hotel is conveniently attached to the Kentucky International Convention Center, offering brand new rooms with upscale amenities, city views, a sofa, and free WiFi, as well as upscale fitness amenities and onsite gym activities for guest comfort and convenience.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or previous experience in the hotel hospitality field required; at least 4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; mathematical skills including basic math, problem solving, reasoning, negotiating, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, variances, and percentages; alcohol awareness certification; strong leadership skills with strong oral and written communication skills; attention to detail, planning and organizational ability, customer skills, computer skills, and general accounting knowledge; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willingness to be on call when away from work.
