Position: Hotel Manager job
About: VIP Hospitality Group is seeking a Manager for the iconic 21-room Hotel Sylvia in Newport, OR. This literary-themed gem, located within walking distance from the beach and downtown, is set to reopen fully remodeled in June 2025. The Manager will play a crucial role in establishing procedures and staffing the hotel to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency in alignment with the hotel’s brand and community values.
Requirements: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; three to five years of experience in hotel operations, with a focus on increasing responsibilities or in a management capacity; strong passion for hospitality and mentoring; excellent delegation, feedback, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; proficiency in basic computer software; strong communication skills in English; ability to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and visual tasks like close vision and color recognition.
