To be eligible for their services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois) and be unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field. Requirements: High school diploma or GED; one year of on-the-job experience in basic food preparation techniques preferred; basic analytical skills for portioning food and stocking stations; ability to pay close attention to detail while handling transactions and food items; capable of sustaining a sanitary work environment according to health standards and department policies
