Position: Executive Chef job
About: Seattle Children’s is seeking an Executive Chef responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing food preparation to meet the needs of families, staff, customers, and patients of all ages. The role includes managing the healthy meal service for all customer segments, supervising kitchen production staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; minimum of three (3) years experience in a large production food service environment; three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory or management experience in food service and/or retail; experience leading and coaching a team; education or experience in staff programs development and implementation; knowledge of quality improvement activities and regulatory compliance; familiarity with monitoring systems for regulatory adherence (e.g., OSHA, DNV, DOH); practiced in whole foods cooking and nutrition terms; must possess the Washington State Food and Beverage Worker’s Permit within 15 days of employment; ServSafe certification within 3 months of employment; preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary, Business, Nutrition, Food Science, or Hotel/Restaurant Management, experience in Retail and Catering, working with modified diets, training experience, ability to make substitutions in diverse environments, and keen attention to detail for ingredient changes.
