Position: Events Manager

About: The Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Event Manager to join their team. This position involves coordinating with sales, various departments, and customers to ensure smooth event execution and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will handle events of average complexity, maximize revenue opportunities, and maintain high service standards throughout the event phases.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of experience in event management or related professional area; OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year of event management experience required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively, and experience in managing event logistics and operations.
