Position: Director of Plant Operations
About: The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for managing a fast-paced production plant within the company’s operations team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of a multi-department food manufacturing plant, ensuring seamless coordination between production, quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams to meet production goals. The position requires a strong focus on maintaining food safety standards, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Additionally, the Director provides training, motivation, and support to team members to drive performance and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
Requirements: Must have food industry experience; Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s in Manufacturing or related field; Minimum 10 years experience in production management, particularly in a chilled food environment; Knowledge of continuous improvement production techniques; Experience in large-scale business start-ups; Certified in OSHA requirements, HACCP, SDS, First Aid/CPR, and Food Hygiene; Ability to motivate and lead teams in a continuous improvement setting; Strong English communication skills, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
