Position: Director of Operations
About: HMSHost is looking for a Director of Operations III to lead their team and restaurants at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). They seek a leader-coach who is passionate about service and hospitality, adaptable to business needs, and focuses on ensuring a great experience for both employees and travelers.
Requirements: Education and management knowledge: Demonstrated progress towards a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience managing multiple restaurant concepts and units; Restaurant experience: Minimum 5 years of multi-unit restaurant management experience across various service styles with overall 7 years in the restaurant industry; Financial acumen: Strong understanding of growth drivers, profitability metrics, and P&L management; Technical skills and abilities: Knowledge of safety standards, operations, and ability to coach teams; Positive relationships: Ability to interact with stakeholders, clients, team members, and associates effectively; High-performing teams: Track record of making sound hiring decisions, leading successful teams, and providing ongoing feedback; Prioritization and problem-solving: Ability to manage multiple priorities, critical thinking, and effective communication; Communication: Proficient in verbal and written communication, comprehension of instructions, and engaging with diverse groups.
