Position: Cashier job
About: The hospital Cafeteria and its coffee bar are seeking a Cashier for a part-time “as needed” per diem position.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; demonstrated skills in handling computerized cash registers to process transactions; skill in making change, handling currency, and recognizing counterfeit bills easily; skill in performing basic bookkeeping transactions; mathematical skills to ensure accuracy in calculating and generating deposits and postings according to University Policy; ability to adhere to all Departmental, University, and Hospital policies as relevant to cash handling procedures; ability to function fully as a team member, participating in ongoing performance improvement projects; ability to interact with both internal and external customers in a high-volume operation with diplomacy and patience; ability to stand, bend, walk, reach, lift, push, and pull for prolonged periods of time in hot and cold areas; ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs; knowledge of and adherence to all safety and sanitation procedures as outlined by JC and HACCP standards; skill in reading, speaking, and writing English
