Position: Beverage Shift Manager
About: Manages and organizes the activities of beverage services to maintain high standards and embody the spirit of SAHARA in our beverage quality, service, and marketing. Job focus includes managing operations of beverage services in bars, lounges, and the casino floor; creating daily and weekly scheduling of beverage staff and cocktail services; coordinating and implementing SOPs, cocktail/beverage programs, and service training for beverage staff and cocktail services; managing day-to-day shift operations, including floor management, staff management, and the guest experience; managing implementation of policies and procedures and making team engagement a number one priority; resolving routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to Operations Manager; preparing daily orders; ensuring units are stocked with appropriate levels of product; ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards; creating a guest experience that captures the SAHARA Las Vegas service culture and style; must love and support their staff; must love and take care of guests; must say “Yes” and “Thank you” often.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 years work experience in a leadership role within beverage services; working knowledge of mixology, wines, casino floor beverage service, VIP bottle service, and all phases of beverage administration; strong guest service, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills; computer skills including MS Office and Point of Sales systems; exceptional coaching and communication skills; must be 21 years of age or older; must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming License, Nevada Food Handler Safety card, and Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card.
