Founded in 1953, Subaru has earned a reputation as a leading auto brand in the United States and worldwide. The company emphasizes a customer-centric approach and community involvement, exemplified by its Subaru Love Promise which focuses on positive contributions that extend beyond simple corporate philanthropy. Subaru's company culture thrives on collaboration, diversity, and passion for high-quality automotive products. Employees are encouraged to bring their unique talents and perspectives forward in an inclusive and innovative environment. At Subaru, the team works toward a shared mission to create vehicles that not only perform exceptionally but also foster a sense of adventure and utility for its customers. The company strives to be More Than a Car Company®, embedding values into its operations that inspire long-term relationships with communities and customers alike.
The Zone Operations Specialist role is a critical, high-impact, early-career position based in Subaru's zone office located just outside Denver, Colorado, in Glendale, CO. This full-time position comes with a competitive base salary range of $72,000 - $74,000 per year and offers potential career progression toward leadership roles such as Subaru Management Associate and District Manager. The Zone Operations Specialist plays an essential role in supporting multiple business functions including Sales, Market Development, Marketing, Training, Fixed Operations, and Retail Operations. Reporting to the zone level leadership, this position is central to executing field initiatives, managing event logistics, and supporting retailer performance.
Key responsibilities include the creation of detailed presentations and decks to facilitate retailer meetings such as Planning for Success (PFS), Executive Kick-off, and Grassroots meetings, all of which drive the business strategy in retail sales, customer experience, product performance, and digital engagement. This requires rigorous data analysis and organizational skills to compile, analyze, and present relevant business insights effectively. The specialist also manages the planning and execution of various events, overseeing vendor selection, creative executions, and the inventory and distribution of promotional items, brochures, and other Subaru materials.
The role demands budget management capabilities, including invoice processing and financial reconciliation with accountants, alongside managing volunteers and retailer cooperation during events. The ability to develop contingency plans and react swiftly to unexpected challenges is vital for successful event execution. Additionally, this position requires the handling of program analytics, training initiatives, product launches, and workshop communications to support retailer visits and business improvements.
The Zone Operations Specialist also executes special projects assigned by upper management, requiring proficiency in Subaru’s internal systems such as i-Exam, OBI, and Subarunet. The position ensures the efficient operation of the zone office in the absence of management personnel and is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel is a significant component of this role, with around 35% travel expected, including overnight stays and weekend event support. Physical requirements include the ability to lift objects over 50 pounds and maintaining a valid driver's license with approval to operate company vehicles.
This role ideally suits individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a passion for the Subaru brand and its products. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Subaru-specific systems are critical to success. The Zone Operations Specialist is a foundational position designed to impart rich cross-functional experience, equipping candidates with the skills and insights needed for future advancement within Subaru’s field leadership team.
