Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a host/hostess or server in a restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining or nightlife experience
  • Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours, multitask efficiently, and prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and processing payments
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills to engage guests positively and work collaboratively

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar reservation systems to ensure smooth seating flow
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for swift processing
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Clear tables promptly, bus tables, and assist with food handling and sanitation practices to uphold food safety standards
  • Assist in guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience at all times
