Their mission revolves around empowering youth, especially those from underserved communities, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization is recognized for its commitment to youth development and community engagement, making a significant impact on thousands of families each year.
The role of Youth Development Professional (YDP) - Front Desk Associate is integral to the Club's daily operations, focusing on fostering a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all members and their families. This part-time position supports afterschool programming during the school year and shifts to full-time hours in the summer months, ensuring consistent supervision and engagement with youth. Operating primarily from the front desk at various Club sites, the YDP Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for members, parents, guardians, and visitors, providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is enthusiastic about youth development and community service and has strong interpersonal skills. This role is especially well-suited for retirees looking for meaningful engagement in their community or college students seeking valuable work experience in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include managing sign-in/sign-out processes with accuracy and attention to safety protocols, greeting and assisting families and visitors in a professional manner, and maintaining communication with parents regarding program schedules and events.
Moreover, the YDP Front Desk Associate is entrusted with monitoring the lobby area to ensure the safety and well-being of all youth participants. This function requires vigilance and the ability to respond effectively to any concerns related to youth safety. Occasionally, the role may involve supporting club activities that promote youth engagement and development, contributing to a vibrant and positive Club environment.
This position offers a competitive wage of $14.00 per hour, with a flexible schedule to accommodate school year and summer programming needs.
