Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary skills, including knife skills
  • Experience with a fryolator/fry station
  • Experience working in a restaurant hot line or catering environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and safety regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within the kitchen team
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary techniques
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring variety and seasonal offerings
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices
  • Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality food service
  • Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals when necessary
