The company is currently seeking a Cook I for the Summer season to join its Culinary department. This seasonal role is based in Big Sky, Montana, and plays a crucial part in delivering a high standard of food production and preparation in accordance with the restaurant’s menu offerings. The Cook I position entails preparing ingredients through processes such as portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. It also involves cooking food to meet established recipes, quality benchmarks, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists to ensure that every dish served matches the expectations of Yellowstone Club’s discerning members and guests.
Beyond food preparation, the Cook I role is integral to maintaining outstanding guest service by engaging with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- weigh measure and mix ingredients
- prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- ensure that each member and guest receive outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment including greeting and acknowledging every member and guest maintaining outstanding service standards solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service
- guarantee total guest satisfaction display hospitality and professionalism to guests at all times represent Yellowstone Club professionally and ensure all transactions with guests are handled legally and ethically
- understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees members and guests at all times and seek medical attention and report emergencies immediately
