Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in event management or technical support
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of audiovisual technology
  • Physical ability to set up and move equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in event coordination or performing arts management
  • Knowledge of technical equipment used in auditoriums
  • Experience training or supervising technical crews
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external groups
  • Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Coordinate with Yarmouth High School and Community Services for event scheduling
  • Provide essential information about facility use, scheduling, and user fees
  • Oversee facility maintenance including ordering supplies and scheduling repairs
  • Manage installation of auditorium accessories as budget allows
  • Report damage or loss of equipment to Director of Business Services
  • Ensure renters have qualified technical personnel
  • Train students in technical aspects of auditorium operation
  • Monitor security of the space
  • Set up and break down technical equipment for assemblies and functions
  • Line up and manage technical crews
  • Assist in orderly entrance and exit of audiences
  • Connect with outside groups to determine technical needs
  • Stay on-site during events to manage operations
  • Ensure custodian arrival and proper audience behavior
