Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in event management or technical support
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic understanding of audiovisual technology
- Physical ability to set up and move equipment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in event coordination or performing arts management
- Knowledge of technical equipment used in auditoriums
- Experience training or supervising technical crews
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external groups
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Coordinate with Yarmouth High School and Community Services for event scheduling
- Provide essential information about facility use, scheduling, and user fees
- Oversee facility maintenance including ordering supplies and scheduling repairs
- Manage installation of auditorium accessories as budget allows
- Report damage or loss of equipment to Director of Business Services
- Ensure renters have qualified technical personnel
- Train students in technical aspects of auditorium operation
- Monitor security of the space
- Set up and break down technical equipment for assemblies and functions
- Line up and manage technical crews
- Assist in orderly entrance and exit of audiences
- Connect with outside groups to determine technical needs
- Stay on-site during events to manage operations
- Ensure custodian arrival and proper audience behavior
