Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months food service experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months hospitality experience with knowledge of food, wine, and spirits
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Food handler certification required
  • TIPS certification desirable
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC
  • Experience with a Point of Service (POS) system
  • Availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts with flexible scheduling

Job Duties

  • Provide attentive service for various products including champagne brunch buffet, cocktail receptions, and plated meal service
  • Navigate stairs while carrying trays of food
  • Set up, restock, and clean dining room during each shift
  • Perform all duties efficiently within allotted time
  • Collaborate with vessel operations crew and kitchen team to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Collect money, make accurate change, and input transactions into POS
  • Serve guests and fulfill server orders promptly and courteously
  • Check IDs according to beverage guidelines
  • Handle difficult customer service situations diplomatically while maintaining standards and following liquor laws
  • Maintain personal grooming and professional presentation
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Share knowledge of products and San Francisco trivia with guests
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned
