Job Description

Santander is a global leader and innovator in the financial services industry, dedicated to evolving from a traditional high-impact brand into a technology-driven organization. Headquartered in New York, Santander takes pride in placing its people at the center of its transformative journey, fostering a culture that encourages bold thinking, innovation, and the courage to challenge what is possible. This strategic cultural shift represents more than just an operational change – it is an opportunity for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a meaningful difference in their careers and for the communities they serve.

Santander’s Work Cafe9, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, functions as a dynamic, customer-centric environment designed to blend co-working spaces with financial services, creating a unique and interactive experience for its visitors. As part of Santander’s commitment to exceptional customer service and community engagement, the Work Cafe9 Concierge plays a pivotal role in shaping the visitor experience. This role is focused on providing a welcoming, professional, and engaging atmosphere, acting as the primary customer-facing representative within the Work Cafe9 setting.

The Work Cafe9 Concierge’s responsibilities include coordinating co-working facilities, managing meeting room bookings, and supporting events and programming held within the Work Cafe9. This manager of experiences ensures every visitor receives a warm greeting and seamless service, reinforcing Santander's customer experience standards at every turn. This position demands a proactive individual skilled in customer engagement, digital product promotion, and fostering a sense of community within the space.

Support for Work Cafe9 events, including promotional activities and operational logistics such as greeting, check-in, set-up, and clean-up, forms a key part of the role. The Concierge also serves as the liaison between customers, third-party service providers like baristas and cleaning staff, and Santander staff, ensuring a smoothly functioning, inviting environment. Additionally, the role requires keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills to maintain the quality and orderliness of the facilities before and after appointments.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $30,000 to $47,000, reflecting a 40-hour work week without employer sponsorship for work authorization. Santander values its employees' contributions and provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their well-being, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Ideal candidates have at least an associate's degree or equivalent experience, coupled with over one year of customer service experience, and preferably some background in communications, marketing, or event planning. They should be enthusiastic about creating exceptional customer experiences, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be adept at using digital tools and Windows-based computer applications. The ability to multitask, stay flexible, and maintain a credible and professional image at all times are essential for success in this role.

Santander fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. The organization emphasizes a strong risk culture, encouraging all employees to take a proactive and responsible approach to risk management. Working conditions for this role include frequent minimal physical activity such as sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional light lifting or moving of equipment or furniture depending on the location.

Joining Santander as a Work Cafe9 Concierge provides a meaningful opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, customer-focused financial institution that values innovation and community-building. If you aspire to be at the forefront of transforming the customer experience through technology and engagement in a vibrant, collaborative environment, this role is tailored for you. Santander is committed to an inclusive and accessible application process and will provide accommodations to support candidates with disabilities or special requirements during the recruitment process.
