Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months wok-cooking experience preferred
  • if none, minimum of 9 months sauté experience and successful wok-training program completion
  • food preparation skills
  • knowledge of HACCP standards
  • ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • ability to work in warm kitchen environments
  • ability to stand or walk up to nine hours
  • ability to handle knives safely
  • skill in handling specialty ingredients and maintaining quality control
  • adaptability to new menu items and techniques
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • ability to lift and transport objects up to 30 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs
  • effective communication skills
  • willingness to comply with company policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing and wok-cooking menu items
  • work with urgency to meet time goals and maintain presentation standards
  • taste products and monitor food production to plan supply needs
  • perform basic math and measurement calculations for recipes
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and use cut gloves when handling knives
  • maintain quality control including product freshness
  • clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • follow food safety and sanitation practices meeting HACCP standards
  • stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products
  • receive, move, and lift food and beverage supplies
  • comply with company and franchise policies and regulatory requirements
