The bartender role at WISEACRE Brewing Company is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for patrons by providing exceptional service, sharing knowledge about the brewery's offerings, and maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the taproom. The position requires someone who is attentive, personable, and efficient, capable of handling multiple tasks while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes greeting guests, guiding them through beverage selections, managing transactions accurately, and preserving the taproom's ambiance. Bartenders are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and adhering strictly to safety and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Those hired in this role will report directly to the Front of House Manager and be evaluated through measurable performance metrics and scheduled reviews to ensure standards are consistently met. The employment is hourly, with a starting pay of $7.25 during the training period and $2.13 plus tips for regular shifts post-training, with opportunities to earn $20 plus tips during private events. This position offers a flexible schedule for candidates who can multitask and thrive in a team-oriented setting within the vibrant craft beer community at WISEACRE Brewing Company.

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning, set-up, and breakdown tasks as assigned
  • Be fully knowledgeable of and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Monitor guests intoxication levels and refrain from serving alcohol when appropriate
  • Check identification of all patrons and monitor for underage drinking
  • Help guests select beverages by presenting menu and making informed suggestions
  • Use POS system as instructed
  • Keep customer tabs precise and up to date
  • Provide accurate information about our beer and food options
  • Accurately input food and beverage orders
  • Assist with running food from kitchen to tables whenever scheduled or asked to do so
  • Bus tables and maintain a clean indoor/outdoor space
  • Obtain revenues by totaling all charges in full, issuing bills, accepting payment, and returning payment cards and signature slips to guests if not paid with cash
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • Communicate and embody WISEACRE brand
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
