Job Description
The hiring company is a dynamic restaurant dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience by prioritizing quality food, cleanliness, and superior customer service. This establishment prides itself on fostering a positive and proactive work culture while adhering strictly to company and government policies. The restaurant operates with a strong commitment to continuous improvement through operational excellence and team engagement, ensuring all employees are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with the company’s core values and service standards.
The Restaurant Supervisor I position is an integral role within the restaurant's leadership team, supporting both the General Manager and the Restaurant Supervisor II in the daily operational management of the restaurant. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of overseeing the shift’s operations independently when the General Manager or Restaurant Supervisor II are absent. The primary focus of the Restaurant Supervisor I is to uphold and enhance the restaurant’s culture, maximize the guest experience, and ensure adherence to all standards of operation.
In this role, the Restaurant Supervisor I is responsible for directly contributing to the achievement of team and company goals, including providing assistance across various positions as necessary. Key performance indicators such as customer satisfaction scores, order accuracy, and quality standards are closely monitored and maintained. The role requires maintaining a consistent guest-first philosophy while ensuring all team members comply with company standards including conduct, uniform, and operational policies.
The Restaurant Supervisor I will actively participate in staff training, coaching new employees, and fostering an environment that encourages retention and engagement. This position demands an individual with strong leadership skills who can delegate tasks effectively through pre-shift huddles and manage labor and food costs to drive operational efficiency. In addition, cash handling protocols, including monitoring voids, paid outs, refunds, and employee meal utilization, fall under the Supervisor’s administration.
Safety and cleanliness are critical components of this role, where the Supervisor ensures all food safety, personal safety, and cleanliness standards are rigorously maintained. Responsibilities also include managing maintenance needs, coordinating pest control measures, and fulfilling all cleaning schedules. The Restaurant Supervisor I must be a problem solver, capable of handling operational challenges timely and professionally, and able to lift up to 50-pound boxes when required.
This position operates on varying shifts and works up to 40 hours per week unless otherwise authorized by the Area Coach. It is essential that the individual consistently demonstrate professionalism when interacting with guests, team members, leadership, and office personnel. Flexibility in location assignment is required as the role is hired for a specific market but can change based on business needs. The Restaurant Supervisor I plays a vital role in ensuring the restaurant not only meets but exceeds operational standards, customer experience, and team engagement standards, contributing significantly to the overall success and reputation of the restaurant.
