The Deep Sea Wine Tasting Room situated in the picturesque Ventura Harbor Village offers guests an exceptional wine tasting experience in a beautiful harbor-side setting. This part-time position invites individuals who are passionate about wine and customer service to join a lively and fast-paced environment. The Deep Sea Wine Tasting Room is known for its artisanal approach, including crafting artisanal pizzas and cheese plates that complement its selection of fine wines. Job Requirements

Must be over 21 years of age
Current Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain upon hiring
Current Responsible Beverage Training Certificate or able to obtain upon hiring
Ability to work 2-4 shifts per week including one weekend day and holidays if needed
Ability to lift 40 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Minimum 21 years of age
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality
Experience in hospitality and food preparation is a plus
Passion for wine and the desire to be a strong team member
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to repeatedly lift over 40 pounds and be on your feet for long periods
Food Handler’s Certificate and Responsible Beverage Training Certificate required or able to obtain upon hiring
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Duties

Provide a premium wine tasting experience having a meaningful interaction with each guest
Know how to accurately and carefully operate the POS system and handle cash
Be responsible for opening and closing duties of the tasting room
Assemble cheese plates and hot food items as well as handle washing dishes and other back-of-house duties
Promote and sell wine and wine clubs to achieve sales goals
Participate in occasional team meetings
Available to work at least one weekend day plus 2-3 additional shifts
