We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Wine and Beer Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in delivering customer satisfaction by providing expert advice on our range of imported and domestic wines and beers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the flavor profiles, production methods, and industry trends associated with specialty wines and beers. In addition to assisting customers in making informed choices, the specialist will actively contribute to the achievement of sales and profit goals by promoting products effectively and participating in marketing initiatives like wine tastings and pairing recommendations.

As a Wine and Beer Specialist, you will be an ambassador of the Customer 1st strategy, ensuring that our customers receive top-tier service that encourages repeat business. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe and clean departmental environment, monitoring quality assurance standards, and supporting department management. The ability to speak a second language will be highly advantageous in serving our diverse clientele and enhancing communication within our multicultural team.

This full-time position requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age, with a high school education or equivalent. Prior retail experience, particularly in wine and beer sales, will be beneficial. You will need to pass a wine knowledge test once employed, demonstrating your proficiency and commitment to product expertise. Effective communication skills, basic math knowledge, and the ability to remain composed in stressful situations are essential to perform this role successfully.
